When the King of Glory enters, hearts are opened, lives are transformed, and freedom finds its purpose in love.
“KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” — Revelation 19:16, KJV
Scripture reveals Jesus Christ as the King of kings and Lord of lords. His authority is above every earthly power, yet His kingdom is also revealed through love, obedience, service, and transformed lives.
Psalm 24 gives us a powerful picture of His arrival:
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” — Psalm 24:7, KJV
It is a call to make way for the King.
Lift up the gates.
Open the doors.
Prepare the heart.
But then comes the question:
Who is this King of Glory?
“The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” — Psalm 24:8, KJV
And again:
“The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.” — Psalm 24:10, KJV
He is strong.
He is mighty.
He is worthy of honor, worship, and praise.
When the King of Glory enters, His presence should not simply be acknowledged; it should transform us. His rule reaches beyond our words and worship into the way we treat one another, the choices we make, and the lives we live.
That is where Galatians 5:13 becomes so meaningful:
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” — Galatians 5:13, KJV
The King of Kings gives freedom, but freedom in Christ is not permission to live only for ourselves. It is freedom with purpose.
Freedom to love.
Freedom to serve.
Freedom to obey.
Freedom to become who God has called us to be.
You are free—use your freedom to love.
You are blessed—use your blessing to serve.
You are called—let your life reflect Christ.
For in the Kingdom of God, true freedom is not found in doing whatever we desire; it is found in living under the loving authority of the King of Kings.
So let the gates of our hearts be lifted. Let every barrier fall.
Make way for the King of Glory.
Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord strong and mighty.
The Lord of hosts.
He is the King of Glory.
And Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords.
